The Story
A Hard Man Who Had to
Rebuild Himself
I spent 20 years as a union fire sprinkler fitter superintendent, running crews of hard men on job sites. I've competed in MMA, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Rugby, and CrossFit my entire life. I was not the kind of man who talks about his prostate.
By my 50s I was getting up 5 times a night to pee. A urologist wanted to cut out a piece of my prostate. I looked up the side effects and said no. I'd just live with it. Then one day in December 2021, after sex with my wife, I saw thick, chunky blood in the toilet. I thought I was dying.
"Hospitals were full of COVID patients. I was alone with the worst fear of my life. So I did what I always do — I got to work."
I dove into the research, found two clinical studies, went 100% whole food plant-based, used water fasting, and did the inner work — meditation, forgiveness, cutting every negative input from my life. I also tapered off tramadol that I'd been taking daily for years. All of it, at once.
Three months in I woke up and couldn't remember my last migraine. A year and two months later, I had sex with my wife and there was no blood. Today I am on zero medications, have a completely healthy prostate, and more energy than I had in my 40s.
